Dwell Outdoor

Dwell Outdoor—a 30,000 sq. ft. showcase featuring contemporary outdoor furnishings and prefab buildings—is designed to transport attendees to an innovative outdoor setting, and has been a favorite stop on the show floor since its inception in 2008. 

Hennessey + Ingalls Reading Room

A comfy lounge area will be built across from the Main Stage. The Hennessey + Ingalls Reading Room will be home to the bookstore, book signings, publication bins, AIA LA photography entries, and seating

International Pavilions

Have the world of modern design at your fingertips. Dwell on Design 2017 will have the world of modern design and modern design elements right at your fingertips in International Pavilions from Germany, Finland, Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, and more.

     

MADWORKSHOP

MADWORKSHOP –  USC’s School of Architecture’s first-ever advanced topics design studio. This year, the focus is the homeless crisis in LA. At Dwell on Design, MADWORKSHOP will display a nomadic solution in a shopping cart structure. Additional MADWORKSHOP items are underway and will be announced soon.

     

The Main Stage

The Main Stage presents acclaimed architects and designers right on the Dwell on Design show floor. Over the last decade, this stage has hosted the likes of Marcel Wanders, Gary Sinise, Chip Conley, Christopher Hawthorne, Sou Fujimoto, Tad Toulis, and design stand-outs galore. MOD\POD Learning Areas

This year there will be two MOD\POD Learning Areas on the show floor. These MOD\PODs will be host to a suite of educational opportunities surrounding design and architecture. Check the schedule page for full details.


     


Prefabs | Method Home & Kim Lewis Tiny Home

Dwell on Design features a full scale, prefab home that display an array of furnishings and home furnishings to create an exciting and eye-catching experience. Located in the Dwell Outdoor area of the show floor, the 2017 prefab is a must-see.
