Exhibit Space FAQs

Q:What comes with my space?
A: Each single booth space will include the following: one - 92" h x 118" w white hard back wall, two - 92" h x 48" w white hard side dividers and a 7" x 44" on-line identification sign.  All corner booths will have side walls.  Useable booth space is 120" d x 118" w.  Note: If you have 60" x 120" booth your side walls will be 92" x 30" w.

*Please note that electrical service is not included with your booth equipment, but to accommodate possible power requirements, electrical outlets will be installed in every inline booth.  An audit will be conducted by electricians, and on-site charges will apply if the electrical service is utilized without an order on file.  

Q: Can I utilize the entire footprint of my space?
A: Yes, you may utilize the entire footprint of your space.

Q: What are the height limits?
A: 

Inline Booths:

Inline booths are those booth spaces that have a neighbor on one of more sides or behind the space. All inline booths come with a 7” x 44” identification sign (centered and adhered to back wall).

·         10 x 10 Inline booth spaces come with (1) 92”h x 9’10”w white hard back wall and two (2) 92” high by 48” deep white hard side walls, and have a maximum height limit of 10’. All backside portions of any inline exhibit necessary to comply with these regulations will be at the sole expense of the exhibitor whose booth and/or display is out of compliance.

·         10 x 20 Inline booth spaces come with one (1) 92” x 19’10”w white hard back wall and two (2) 92’h x 48’w white hard side walls. Displays and ALL signage must be placed within the contracted booth space and must be designated to not obstruct the clear view of neighboring booths or interfere with the flow of traffic. Displays may be up to 10’ tall in the back of the booth as defined by the 92” high hard side walls. Note: In the front half of the booth space, where there are no side walls, displays are limited to 4’ in height, to maintain visibility for neighboring exhibits.

5 x 10 and 5 x 20 Booths:

These booths have only 5ft of depth. 5’ x 10’ exhibitors will always have only one neighbor to the left or right. Two can be combined to make a 5’ x 20’ booth.

·         5’ x 10’ booth spaces come with a 92” high white hard back wall and 92” high by 2’6” deep hard side walls with a maximum height of 10’. All backside portions of any inline exhibit higher than 92” high back wall MUST be clean, free of all graphics and text and finished in white. Any onsite alterations to an exhibit necessary to comply with regulations will be at the sole expense of the exhibitor, whose booth and/or display is out of compliance.

·         5’ x 20’ booth spaces come with (1) 92”h x 19’10”w white hard back wall and two (2) 92’h x 2’6”w white hard side walls. Displays and ALL signage must be placed within the contracted booth space and must be designated to not obstruct the clear view of neighboring booths or interfere with the flow of the traffic. Displays may be up to 10’ tall in the back of the booth as defined by the 92” high hard side walls. Note: In the front half of the booth space, where there are no side walls, displays are limited to 4’ in height to maintain visibility for neighboring exhibits.

Island Booths:

Island booths are those booth spaces that have exhibits that are 400 sq ft or larger with aisles on all four sides.

Island booths are those booth spaces with a minimum of footprint of 20’ x 20’ that are open to aisles on all 4 sides and do not come with any hard walls. Island booths have a maximum height limit of 20’ anywhere within the contracted booth space. Note: structure exceeding 12’ in height must have engineering drawings submitted to Show Management by May 1, 2017 and will be submitted to the LACC for approval and issuance of a Building Permit. Displays and ALL signage must be placed within the contracted booth space and may not encroach into aisle spaces.

Q: What exactly are "hard walls"?  What all do they entail?
A: Hard walls are walls built in the exhibit space in order to separate booth spaces.

Hard walls breakdown of construction:

Thickness: 2” thick plywood framed pine

Color: All walls are white washed

Panel Sizes:  All panels are 92” high.

Panel widths: These vary from 24” to 48” wide based on set-up or the surrounding booths. This

information will vary from booth to booth, overall booth width will not change.

Weight Limit: 30 lbs. per panel

Walls can be treated as follows:

• with paint

• with wallpaper

• with staples

• with nails

• with screws (1” screw #8 recommended)

*Replacement fees will be assessed for the following EXCESSIVE damage. These fees will automatically be added to the exhibitor’s invoice.

Damage compromising the integrity of the panel, i.e. too many holes in one panel, any hole larger than 1/4” in diameter, a large hole that cannot be filled properly, or cracked and

broken panels. Each panel will be charged $283.90 for the damage listed above. 


Q:Are exhibitors required to have carpet /floor coverings?

A: Yes, exhibitos MUST provide a form of floor covering for their booth.  If your both does not have any form of floor covering then Freeman carpet will be forced, at the exhibitor's expense, before show opening.  Carpet can be ordered through FreemanOnline.

Q:What about signage? Can I bring my own? Will any be provided?
A: No signage will be provided; you may use your own signage in accordance with the RULES & REGULATIONS.

Q:What about furnishing my space?
A: Furnishings are not included in any installation space, you may bring in and provide your own furnishings.  Place an order on FreemanOnline for furnishings.

Q:Are utilities included with my space?
A: No, utilities are not provided but can be ordered through FreemanOnline. 

Q:What about cleaning services?
A: Freeman is the exclusive cleaning contractor.  No other cleaning services, including exhibitor appointed contractors, are allowed to perform these services. 

Q:Where can I store items?
A: NOTHING may be stored behind booths.  All packing containers, wrapping materials, carrying cases, etc., must be stored off the exhibit floor.  Los Angeles Convention Center inspects all exhibits to ensure compliance.  Please contact Freeman to make arrangements for storage.
